back in the trenches

Didn't think I'd ever say this again, but I'm back in the querying trenches.

It wasn't a decision made lightly but an inevitable choice. After years of neglect, and learning that others received preferential treatment, I decided I'd had enough. I tell people in my day job that they need to be their best advocate, that they need to take care of themselves because no one's going to do it for them. In the case of my former agent, I decided to take my own advice.

And 11 others followed suit.

We all had our reasons for leaving but mine came down to losing trust in my agent. I might expand on the specifics in a later post (people I trust already know details), but in the meantime I'm just going to try to get on with the next part of my writing life.

So here I come...again!
