What is this amazing new contest you keep hearing about?
Well, let me tell you!
If your manuscript is complete and ready to be queried,
and you want it as strong as possible before you submit,
then here’s an opportunity for you to get some feedback.
#FicFest is just around the corner!
And it’s OPEN TO MANUSCRIPTS IN ALL GENRES
in the categories of Picture Book, Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult.
I'm part of an awesome NA team that you'll meet on March 27.
I wish I could tell you what I hope to see,
but we'll all just have to wait until the 27th.
Hmmm...maybe I should start putting together a wishlist.
There are fifteen teams.
Each category (PB, MG, YA, NA, and A) has three teams.
That means nine mentors in each category!
And infinite opportunities to wow us.
Each team will choose three finalists
and one alternate manuscript.
Forty-five manuscripts move to the agent round,
nine manuscripts per category.
Meaning an equal number of manuscripts per category!
Almost two dozen agents have confirmed participation in the agent round in this brand new contest. This is by no means the final number. We're four months away from the agent round and more might sign up between now and then.
Maybe it's your dream agent,
maybe it's someone who'll become your dream agent.
